Red LED

A red light means your hotspot’s Miner hasn’t started. On your Bobcat hotspot, there is a Docker process called “The Helium Miner.” There is no need to be concerned if your miner’s LED turns red for fewer than 10 minutes; it may have simply been a restart brought on by an OTA update. But there’s a chance the Miner might be stuck if the red light stays on for several hours.

If the problem persists, use one or more of the following features on the Bobcat Diagnoser to troubleshoot your miner:

1. Wait an hour after restarting. In case the issue persists..
2. Wait an hour and then reset.

Make sure to include the following fields:

Subject Line: Hotspot's LED is [INSERT COLOR]
Reason for Contact: Technical Support

Yellow LED

A yellow light means that the hotspot’s Miner has started but it is having trouble connecting to the internet. There is a chance this could have been caused by an OTA update, network disconnection, and/or some other network issue.

Please run some simple internet connection troubleshooting if you’re experiencing network issues. Make sure other devices can access the internet. If your Bobcat is currently connected via WiFi, try plugging it into a different Ethernet port or connecting it using Ethernet. Restarting your router and Bobcat Miner might help.

If your LED light is consistently white, check the Miner region inside miner.json using the It’s possible that the region is “undefined,” according to the diagnoser.
